Diabetes Care

Diabetes Care is a Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) program accredited by the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE). The program provides diabetes education and support to help patients with type 1, type 2 or gestational diabetes gain knowledge and experience to manage their diabetes, reduce risk for complications and enhance their quality of life.

Dialysis

Hattiesburg Clinic Dialysis units offer a variety of treatment modalities for end stage renal disease patients. Dialysis units are located in several areas across the Pine Belt. Hattiesburg Clinic Gastroenterology’s Hospital Care Service provides evaluation and treatment for hospitalized patients with intestinal tract, liver and pancreas issues. Our GI hospitalists treat a range of issues, from gallstones to inflammatory bowel disease, as well as pancreatitis, hepatitis, cirrhosis, etc.

Hematology/Oncology offers a coordinated approach to the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of disorders of the blood and cancer in adults. Cancer treatments available includes: chemotherapy, hormonal therapy and immunotherapy.

Hospital Care Service

Hospital Care physicians care for patients exclusively while they are in the hospital. These physicians coordinate a patient’s hospital care with his or her primary care physician.

Imaging (X-Ray)

Imaging provides comprehensive outpatient imaging modalities including digital radiography, fluoroscopy, computed tomography (CT), nuclear medicine, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET) scan and ultrasonography.

Infectious Diseases

Infectious Diseases offers consultations in the diagnosis and management of infectious diseases in all body systems. The infectious processes include systemic fungal disease, endocarditis, acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) and complicated postoperative infections. Particular interests include pneumonia, mycobacterial diseases, travel medicine, skin and soft tissue infections and osteomyelitis.

Internal Medicine provides comprehensive medical evaluations for all adults. Internal Medicine physicians and providers coordinate the care of patients on an outpatient basis at the clinic and on an inpatient basis at Forrest General Hospital and Wesley Medical Center.

Nephrology

Nephrology offers a diagnostic work-up for adults with acute or chronic renal failure, nephrotic syndrome, diabetic nephrology, glomerular and interstitial nephritis, electrolyte and acid-base disturbances and hypertension.

Neurological Surgery

Neurological Surgery specializes in the surgical treatment of diseases affecting the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves. This includes treatment of tumors, aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, carotid and vertebral artery disease, spinal disc herniations, spinal stenosis, spondylosis (i.e. degenerative disc disease), spinal cord injuries, peripheral nerve injuries and compressive or entrapment neuropathies such as carpal tunnel syndrome.

Pathology

Pathology aids providers and patients by evaluating tissue biopsies, specimens and laboratory data. Dermatopathology, a subspecialty of surgical pathology, focuses on the histopathologic diagnosis of skin diseases. Cases include common inflammatory skin reactions, pediatric skin conditions including genodermatoses, infectious diseases, as well as melanomas and other neoplasms of the skin and mucous membranes.
