Family Medicine
Family medicine is a specialty that provides comprehensive care for the individual and family across all ages. Family physicians receive training in six broad areas of medicine: pediatrics, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry, surgery and community medicine.
Internal Medicine
Internal Medicine is a branch of primary care that focuses on treating adults. Internal medicine physicians, also called internists, provide care for the adult population’s day-to-day medical needs, offering comprehensive medical evaluations, diagnosis, treatment and prevention.
Pediatrics
Pediatrics is the specialty of medicine focusing on the health and medical care of infants, children and adolescents from birth to 18 years old. Pediatricians offer preventative health maintenance and ongoing monitoring for healthy children and medical care for sick children.
Primary Care
A primary care physician (PCP), also known as a family medicine doctor, internal medicine doctor or pediatrician, helps care for patients’ day-to-day medical needs. These doctors work with patients on an ongoing basis to prevent long-term illness and help patients stay healthy.
