Chemical Peels & Facial Treatments

Hattiesburg Clinic offers a variety of chemical peels that are customized for your individual skin care needs. Many factors are considered when customizing a peel treatment to best suit our patients’ needs, which is why we don’t believe in “one-size-fits-all” or “one peel for everybody.” Hattiesburg Clinic offers 30 Dermaware Bio Targeted Skin care peels. Your skin care professional will ask you a series of questions and discuss with you your skin care goals and expectations before choosing a course of treatment.

Chemical peels reduce fine lines, treat acne and mild scars, fade skin discolorations, such as sun spots, age spots and freckles and refresh skin texture and color.

Our signature facial treatments are both corrective and customized to target your skin’s individual needs. Your skin care professional will determine which Bio-Targeted service your skin requires. Available bio-targeted facials include: age-control, acne control, oily, combination or sensitive skin.

CO2 Laser Resurfacing

We offer CO2 Laser Resurfacing as a cosmetic service to our patients. Through this service, we can reduce facial wrinkles, scars and blemishes. The CO2 laser gives our physicians a new level of control and is used for correction of moderate-to-severe photoaging and other conditions such as acne scarring. It provides resurfacing of the skin, improving texture and pigment.

CO2 Laser Resurfacing is especially beneficial for:

Fine lines or wrinkles around or under your eyes, forehead or mouth
Scars from acne or trauma
Aged or sun-damaged skin
Enlarged oil glands on the nose

What can I expect with CO2 Laser Resurfacing?

The laser will remove the outer layer of skin, while stimulating underlying collagen growth. After the treated area goes through its healing process for seven to 10 days, the new skin that forms is smoother and firmer.

Contour TRL

Hattiesburg Clinic offers the Contour Tunable Resurfacing Laser (TRL) treatment to improve the appearance of skin on a variety of levels. The Contour TRL uses an erbium laser with customizable settings to ensure a precise and tailored treatment for each patient.

Contour TRL resurfacing is especially beneficial for:

Mild-to-deep wrinkles
Acne scars, post-traumatic or surgical scars
Pigmented lesions
Lax skin in all areas (including upper and lower eyelids)
Poor skin tone/texture

With this type of resurfacing method, we are able to treat a variety of skin types on the face and body. Treatments can be tailored to each patient’s desired outcome and tolerance for downtime.

What can I expect with Contour TRL?

Immediately prior to the procedure, your skin will be cleaned at the treatment site and your eyes will be protected with safety shields. The provider will hold the laser above the skin while the computer-guided scanner moves the laser beam around the treatment area. The procedure typically lasts 15 to 30 minutes for lighter treatments and 30 to 60 minutes for deeper treatments, depending on the size of the treatment area.

Every patient’s comfort level varies. Your provider may offer a topical anesthetic for shallow treatments or a subdermal local anesthetic for deeper treatments.

Eyelash Enhancement

The dermatologists at Hattiesburg Clinic offer a topical prescription treatment used to enhance eyelash growth.

The treatment is applied by the patient, once a day. Increased application of the treatment will not result in faster or better growth process. Patients should apply to a clean surface (removing makeup and contacts are important) and incorporate the treatment into his or her nightly routine.

You may begin to notice results at eight weeks and maximum results are achieved near 16 weeks.

Halo

Hattiesburg Clinic offers a laser service designed to provide significant results in a short amount of time. Halo is a laser treatment created to eliminate years of damage and restore a youthful glow.

Halo is a Hybrid Fractional Laser that delivers skin rejuvenation. The goal of Halo is to improve the skin’s overall tone and texture, significantly remove discoloration and reduce pore size to increase the skin’s luminous glow. A customizable treatment plan is also available with this service. One, two or more treatments can be selected depending on personal skin goals and with a faster healing time.

The skin is a protective, yet delicate shield for the human body and can accumulate years of damage due to sun exposure and aging. Halo can potentially help reverse some of that damage.

Infusion Peel

Infusion Peel is a combination therapy system that includes two procedures in one: crystal-free microdermabrasion and peptide infusion.

Crystal-free microdermabrasion is the industry standard for medical-grade microdermabrasion. Peptide infusion treatments stimulate the body’s own cellular repair system to produce new skin cells, collagen and elastin. This reduces the signs of aging due to sun-damaged skin.

Infusion Peel treatments help rejuvenate and resurface the skin’s outer layers. A customized treatment regimen will be designed specifically for your skin.

Intense Pulsed Light

Hattiesburg Clinic offers Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) as a treatment for brown spots, redness, age spots, broken blood vessels and rosacea.

IPL devices use multiple wavelengths of light to treat sun-induced changes on the face, including brown pigmentation, age spots and broken blood vessels. IPL is also used to treat the facial changes of rosacea, including redness and broken blood vessels. IPL may also be used for these changes on the hands, neck and chest. It is safe, non-invasive and is tailored to the individual patient’s skin.

Most patients experience a few days of redness and possible pinpoint bruising after the IPL procedure. Some brown spots may appear darker for a few days, then peel off. You can apply makeup immediately after IPL treatment, if necessary.

Laser Hair & Tattoo Removal

At Hattiesburg Clinic, we offer several laser services that provide cosmetic skin enhancements to our patients. Two common laser services we provide include laser hair removal and laser tattoo removal.

Laser hair removal provides permanent reduction in unwanted hair on the face, underarms, bikini, legs, arms, back, buttocks, abdomen and breasts. Permanent hair reduction is accomplished after a series of treatments, usually four to six sessions.

Laser tattoo removal eliminates tattoos by targeting the colored pigment and sparing normal tissue. Every tattoo has different characteristics that might influence the number of sessions necessary for removal, such as size, color, type of ink used and age of tattoo.

Microneedling is a minimally-invasive procedure in which controlled, micro-injuries are made to the desired treatment area using SkinPen®, an FDA-approved device. Vascular & Vein Treatment

The dermatologists at Hattiesburg Clinic offer several vascular and leg vein treatments to minimize and remove spider and small varicose veins, improving the appearance of affected areas on the legs.

Laser vein removal is a technique designed to destroy spider and varicose veins with a highly concentrated beam of light energy. This technique is minimally invasive and does not require anesthesia. A series of treatments is often necessary.

Sclerotherapy is a minimally-invasive treatment that involves injecting a solution directly into the veins. This solution causes them to fade over time.
