Hattiesburg Clinic Partners with Rovia™ Clinical Research

Hattiesburg Clinic is pleased to announce its partnership with Rovia Clinical Research. This collaboration will allow Hattiesburg Clinic to participate in a broader range of clinical studies while maintaining quality standards of patient care and safety.

Hattiesburg Clinic physician Rambod A. Rouhbakhsh, MD, will serve as the principal investigator. Clinical Research, a service of Hattiesburg Clinic and Rovia, will serve as the research site to host and manage various clinical trials. The collaboration allows research activities to take place within the clinic’s existing care environment, bringing innovative therapies closer to the communities Hattiesburg Clinic serves.

“I am excited to announce our new clinical trial partnership with Rovia, which represents an important step forward in expanding access to innovative therapies for our patients and advancing evidence-based care in our community,” Dr. Rouhbakhsh said. “Clinical research allows us to bring cutting-edge treatments closer to home while contributing to the science that shapes tomorrow’s standards of care. I am grateful to our patients for their trust and to my colleagues for their continued commitment to excellence, collaboration and advancing medicine together.”

Rovia Clinical Research brings nearly two decades of experience in clinical trial management. For the past 18 years, the organization has delivered consistent, precise study results through detailed data collection and analysis.

Bryan N. Batson, MD, chief executive officer of Hattiesburg Clinic, said the partnership strengthens the clinic’s ability to connect patients with emerging treatments while supporting the advancement of medical knowledge.

“Integrating research into patient care gives individuals access to promising therapies while helping to improve the science behind medical treatment for generations to come,” Batson said.

Through this partnership with Rovia Clinical Research, Hattiesburg Clinic continues its commitment to patient-centered care while supporting research that shapes the future of health care.

Why Participate in Clinical Trials

Clinical research plays a vital role in the advancement of medicine. Many of today’s treatments and therapies exist because individuals chose to participate in clinical trials, helping physicians and researchers identify safer and more effective ways to diagnose, treat and prevent disease.

Clinical trials follow strict safety guidelines and are closely monitored by physicians, researchers and regulatory bodies. Studies must meet numerous standards before they begin and throughout the research process to ensure the safety and well-being of participants.

Participating in clinical trials gives patients the opportunity to access new therapies and contribute to medical knowledge. All care is monitored by experienced physicians. There is no cost to patients, and insurance is never billed. Participants typically receive compensation for time and travel. Participation is voluntary, and patients can withdraw from a clinical trial at any time without penalty.
