This 38-year-old patient underwent a breast augmentation and breast lift many years ago. Her implants had been placed under the muscle, and she was unhappy with the animation deformity and the movement of the implants when she flexed her arms. Breast animation deformity is a condition where the breast implant moves or distorts during chest muscle contraction, which can lead to an unnatural appearance of the breast. She had the implants removed by another physician, then came to Plastic Surgery to have them put back in to regain fullness. She received saline implants placed above the muscle. These photos were taken before and six weeks after surgery.

The procedure was performed by Richard A. Pecunia, MD, FACS. To learn more about the services offered at Hattiesburg Clinic Plastic Surgery, click here.
