Matthew T. Valentine, MD, is now offering orthopaedic services at Hattiesburg Clinic Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine – Bellevue at 7148 Hwy. 98 W., Ste. 203, in Hattiesburg, in addition to Hattiesburg Clinic Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.
Dr. Valentine received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, Miss. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery through Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and a fellowship in adult reconstructive joint surgery through Holy Cross Orthopedic Institute in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Valentine is board certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has special practice interests in hip and knee arthroplasty procedures, including robotic procedures, technology-assisted procedures, and direct anterior and minimally invasive hip arthroplasty.
He also has a special practice interest in total joint replacement and provides outpatient total joint surgery at Hattiesburg Clinic Lowery A. Woodall Outpatient Surgery Center (LAW). He focuses on diagnosing ongoing pain from total knee replacements, identifying the source of discomfort and improving function and reducing pain.
