Spine Center relocates to Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine

Hattiesburg Clinic Spine Center, along with Kara H. Box, FNP, is relocating to the Hattiesburg Clinic Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine building, located at 103 Medical Park in Hattiesburg, Miss.

Ms. Box will work alongside Mark T. Barron, MD, to provide care for patients with spinal cord injuries or disorders.

Dr. Barron received his medical degree from University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, Miss. He completed an internship and a residency in orthopaedic surgery with the University of Kentucky Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Ky. He completed a fellowship in spine surgery at the University of Missouri Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute in Columbia, Mo.

Barron is board certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society.

Box received her Master of Science in Nursing at the Mississippi University for Women College of Nursing & Health Sciences in Columbus, Miss. She is board certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of the Mississippi Nurses Association.

The providers with Hattiesburg Clinic Spine Care evaluate each patient and develop a plan for diagnostic evaluation and treatment evidence-based guidelines.
