Thomas P. Royals, MD, is a physician with Hattiesburg Clinic Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.
Dr. Royals received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, Miss. He completed an internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, La. He completed a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa, Fla.
Royals is board certified in orthopedic surgery and surgery of the hand by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has a subspecialty certification in hand surgery and is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. His special practice interests include endoscopic carpal tunnel release, nerve repair and reconstruction, hand/wrist/finger arthritis, hand and upper extremity trauma and shoulder arthritis/replacement.
Royals provides orthopedic care specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery and orthopedic trauma.
Outside of work, Royals is a baseball enthusiast, having played at the collegiate level. Now, he enjoys watching his kids play sports.
