Hospital Care Service Welcomes Rumael Jawed, MD
Rumael Jawed, MD, recently joined Hattiesburg Clinic Hospital Care Service, where he provides care for patients in the hospital.
Dr. Jawed received his medical degree from Liaquat National Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Nazareth Hospital, Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic in Philadelphia, Pa.
At Hospital Care Service, he provides care for patients in the hospital. He monitors their condition, orders and interprets diagnostic tests and adjusts treatment plans as needed. He also coordinates a patient’s hospital care with his or her primary care physician to ensure the patient receives timely and effective care and has a smooth transition back to outpatient treatment.
“I chose to practice medicine because it feels good to help patients get better,” Jawed said.
