Meet Coiya Henry with Hattiesburg Clinic Obstetrics & Gynecology
Meet Coiya Henry, a receptionist with Hattiesburg Clinic Obstetrics & Gynecology. Henry has been with the clinic since 2019 and helps ensure every patient is checked in and out efficiently while creating a welcoming first impression from the moment they arrive.
For Henry, one of the most rewarding parts of her job is the opportunity to positively impact each patient’s day. “I enjoy being that light during our patients’ first encounter and being ‘that voice,’ whether it is to encourage, uplift or simply laugh together,” she said.
Since joining Hattiesburg Clinic, Henry says she has gained long-lasting friendships and valuable knowledge about health care.
What Henry enjoys most about working in Obstetrics & Gynecology is the close-knit culture among her coworkers. “We have created a family dynamic here at OBGYN, which makes coming to work a delight,” she said.
Outside of work, Henry enjoys spending quality time with her family. She and her husband of 12 years, Jarrad, are the proud parents of two sons, Colston and Dash. Much of their free time revolves around their boys’ extra curricular activities, and Henry enjoys cooking and relaxing with her husband after a busy day.
Originally raised in Shuqualak, Miss., she attended Noxubee County High School before continuing her education at East Mississippi Community College and The University of Southern Mississippi.
