Tamara Gray Presented with Cheers from Your Peers

The WOW! Committee would like to congratulate Tamara “Tam” Gray, unit secretary with Hattiesburg Clinic Lowery A. Woodall Outpatient Surgery Center (LAW), for receiving Cheers from Your Peers. Tam is being recognized for her leadership, positivity and dedication to both patients and staff.

In a recent WOW! nomination, Deborah Kennedy and Samantha Luckel shared how Tam stepped into her role during a significant time of transition for LAW. As the team prepared to move from a smaller space into a much larger center with increased staff and patient volume, Tam joined the team ready to help lead the way. The department transitioned from one nursing station to three, and Tam became responsible for patient flow and nursing task assignments for each station. With her predecessor retiring, she quickly learned the role and ensured the team was ready when the move took place.

While Tam met every operational challenge with organization and efficiency, her impact reaches far beyond her title. She is known for her encouraging spirit and daily words of affirmation to coworkers. She helps patients feel at home, steps in wherever needed and serves as a steady point of contact for any issue that arises. Whether cleaning a room, managing schedules or answering phones, Tam consistently goes above and beyond to support her team and provide exceptional care.

Thank you, Tam, for going above and beyond for your coworkers, Hattiesburg Clinic, and, most importantly, for our patients. We appreciate you!
