Cassidie Kitchens Presented with Cheers from Your Peers
The WOW! Committee recently congratulated Cassidie Kitchens, receptionist with Hattiesburg Clinic Heart & Vascular, for receiving Cheers from Your Peers. Cassidie is being recognized for her compassion, patience and dedication to both patients and staff.
In a recent WOW! nomination, Brittany Palmer, clinical manager of Heart & Vascular, shared how Cassidie stepped in to help a patient who had been left without transportation. Cassidie took action right away. She worked with the team to help coordinate a safe ride home and made sure the patient felt comfortable and supported while waiting.
While Cassidie met the immediate need of helping coordinate transportation, her impact went beyond the task at hand. She demonstrated exceptional kindness and patience, taking time to provide comfort and reassurance. She was even observed sitting close to the patient to help improve communication and create a more welcoming environment while arrangements were made.
Another patient in the waiting room who saw the interaction praised Cassidie for her actions. “While in the Heart & Vascular waiting area, I was so impressed with the care and concern of your staff for a patient,” they said. “Cassidie was so kind and gentle with him as accommodations were made for for him. I’ve never seen anything like it. She was exceptional!”
