Barbara Morris Presented with Cheers from Your Peers
The WOW! Committee would like to congratulate Barbara Morris, RN, with Cheers from Your Peers. Barbara is a registered nurse with Hattiesburg Clinic Gastroenterology. She is being recognized for her compassion and attentiveness towards patients.
In a recent WOW! nomination, Lacey Hennis, clinical manager of Gastroenterology, shared a moment that highlighted Barbara’s willingness to step in when a patient needed support.
On a cold, windy day, Barbara looked out the window and noticed a patient in the parking lot who appeared to need assistance. She immediately took action. She went outside to help the patient locate misplaced belongings and coordinated with another team member to ensure everything was safely recovered. Her calm presence, kindness and willingness to step in made a stressful moment much easier for the patient. Barbara showed compassion and went above and beyond to better the patient’s day.
