Kim Fortenberry Presented with Cheers from Your Peers
The WOW! Committee would like to congratulate Kim Fortenberry for receiving the Cheers from Your Peers award. Fortenberry is the business manager of Hattiesburg Clinic Obstetrics & Gynecology, Hattiesburg Clinic Obstetrics & Gynecology – Lake Serene and Hattiesburg Clinic Maternal Fetal Medicine and was recognized for her exceptional leadership, dedication and commitment to both her staff and patients.
Kim was nominated by Lauren Byrd, administrative assistant, who describes her as “an incredible boss” whose leadership makes a lasting impact on those around her.
“Our department is truly fortunate to have such an incredible boss,” Byrd shared. “Kim goes above and beyond, not only ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care but also making sure her employees feel supported and valued.”
In addition to her role as business manager, Kim has stepped in as clinical manager during a leadership transition. With 15 providers and more than 70 staff members, her responsibilities are significant, but she manages them with grace and dedication. Byrd added that Kim’s “selflessness, dedication and leadership allow everything to run as smoothly as possible.”
“We have been blessed with the best,” Byrd said. “I hope she knows how loved and appreciated she is.”
