Connections and Psychology & Counseling Host ADHD and Related Concerns Conference
Hattiesburg Clinic Connections and Hattiesburg Clinic Psychology & Counseling recently hosted the 22nd Annual ADHD & Related Concerns Conference on Thursday, Oct. 23, and Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, bringing together parents, caregivers, educators, therapists and health care providers for two days of impactful learning. The conference focused on equipping attendees with practical tools and up-to-date research to better support children and adults with ADHD and other learning differences.
This year’s sessions covered a broad range of topics, including ADHD, dyslexia, autism spectrum disorder, suicide awareness, addictions, behavior management, social and emotional learning. Each presentation was designed to provide attendees with strategies they could apply immediately in classrooms, clinics and homes.
“The ADHD & Related Concerns Conference is more than just an educational event—it’s a chance for families, educators and health care professionals to come together, share experiences and learn strategies that truly make a difference in people’s lives,” Jonathan W. Shook, MD, a physician with Hattiesburg Clinic Connections, said. “Every year, I’m inspired by the dedication and passion of our attendees, and I’m grateful to see our community working together to better support individuals with learning and behavioral differences.”
This year’s keynote speaker, Kristi Bush, a national education consultant, social media safety expert and founder of KNB Communications delivered the keynote address. With over 20 years of experience working with youth, Bush shared real-world insights on protecting children online and the challenges of social media. Her passion and actionable advice left attendees inspired and equipped to navigate the online world safely.
In addition to informative sessions, the conference provided continuing education units (CEUs) for educational professionals and continuing medical education (CMEs) credits for medical professionals. The conference had a variety of attendees including professionals from different fields such as school administrators, educators, counselors, psychologists, nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants, social workers, speech-language pathologists and dyslexia therapists.
For more than two decades, the ADHD & Related Concerns Conference has served as a valuable resource for the community, fostering collaboration and understanding among those who work with and care for individuals with learning and behavioral difficulties. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this year’s conference a success!
