Meet Ashlyn Hitson with Owl Drug Store
Ashlyn Hitson has only been with Hattiesburg Clinic for 6 months, but she is already making an impact on her coworkers and customers.
Hitson joined Hattiesburg Clinic in August 2022 as a clerk at Owl Drug Store. In her role as clerk, she provides customers with the correct medication while also ensuring that each customer has a pleasant experience. Making sure each customer leaves the store satisfied is the highlight of Hitson’s position.
“I enjoy spending all of my time in the drive through, where all of my regular customers come through,” Hitson said. “Putting smiles on their faces tends to make my day and theirs.”
Born in Brooklyn, Miss., Hitson moved with her family to Seminary when she was seven years old. She attended South Forrest Attendance Center through 4th grade, then was homeschooled through Penn Foster High School. She now calls Runnelstown home, where she lives with her older brother and his family.
In her spare time, Hitson enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She credits her mother and her older brother and his wife with helping her get to where she is today.
When asked what she enjoys most about her role at Owl Drug Store, Hitson highlighted her coworkers.
“When I have a question, everyone is willing to guide me in the correct direction,” she said. “I work with the most amazing team!”

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
AH: If i could learn to do anything it would most definitely be to fly a plane around the world.
If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
AH: Anyone who knows me knows I love pizza!
What are three words to describe yourself?
AH: Outgoing, passionate and open-minded.
