“The Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi supports patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes who live in our community by providing diabetes education programs, sponsoring educational camps for children with diabetes and their families and sponsoring educational programs for health professionals focusing on diabetes prevention and treatment,” said Daniel T. McCall, IV, MD, an endocrinologist with Hattiesburg Clinic Endocrinology.
The Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi is the only diabetes organization that keeps donation dollars local. Yes, by supporting this organization, you are supporting fellow Mississippians.
The goal of the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi is to care for the 373,000 Mississippians who have diabetes through a wide range of services and programs. The foundation’s programs help with emergency medication assistance and help newly diagnosed individuals learn the basics. They also provide backpacks filled with information for newly diagnosed children and their parents, continuing educational programs for medical personnel and more.
