Hattiesburg Clinic Partners with USM for Nursing Clinicals

Hattiesburg Clinic recently partnered with the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) College of Nursing and Health Professions in Hattiesburg, Miss. This partnership will provide further training and education to nursing students in the registered nurse program as a part of their required clinical rotations.

“We are thrilled to further expand our longstanding partnership with Hattiesburg Clinic by providing our students diverse clinical experiences that will prepare them for today’s quickly changing healthcare environment and workforce needs,” Dr. Lachel Story, Dean of the College of Nursing and Health Professions, said.

Hattiesburg Clinic’s mission is to provide quality health care in an efficient and cost-effective manner, with emphasis on excellence and service to the patient. We are privileged to be able to share this mission with local nursing students as they prepare for a job in health care.

“As an alumni of USM’s School of Nursing, I am so excited and proud to be associated with this partnership,” Jamey Davion, Director of Primary Care Service Line at Hattiesburg Clinic, said. “We want to create relationships where these nursing graduates can stay in our area and work with Hattiesburg Clinic to care for our community.”

Hattiesburg Clinic is excited to add the University of Southern Mississippi to our growing number of educational partners around South Mississippi, which includes Pearl River Community College and William Carey University. We look forward to helping to train and nurture our future health care providers.
