Hattiesburg Clinic is honored to have served as the title sponsor for the 11th Annual Hattiesburg Half Marathon/10K/5K, held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, in downtown Hattiesburg.

The Half Marathon drew over 1,100 runners from the Hub City and beyond, with several traveling from as far as the Bahamas and Canada. Participants ranged from beginners to seasoned runners. While one participant was completing her 233rd marathon, another was checking off an item on her bucket list by completing her first.

The Half Marathon serves as a fundraiser for local nonprofits in the Pine Belt. The Arc of Southeast Mississippi was onsite to kick off the race, while other benefitting organizations set up stations along the route to cheer on runners and provide snacks and water.

With runners coming from all over, the race gives these organizations a large platform to share their mission.

“Through being a part of this event, we have the opportunity to share the impact of our organization with an audience we may never reach otherwise. It’s impossible to quantify the value of that gift,” Courtney Tesh, Director of Communication and Development at The Children’s Center at the University of Southern Mississippi, said.

Hattiesburg Clinic is proud to have participated in such a philanthropic event. We are inspired by all of the runners, supporters, sponsors and organizers who came together to make this event possible. Thank you for your dedication to our community!
