Hattiesburg Clinic Supports Extra Table’s “Save the Turkeys” Food Drive and Fundraiser
Hattiesburg Clinic is a proud sponsor of Extra Table’s “Save the Turkeys” campaign. For the 2023 holiday season, Extra Table decided to skip turkeys and donate chickens to their 62 food pantry partners across Mississippi.
Extra Table donated 3000 turkeys to their food pantry partners in 2022. This year, they planned to ship 9000, Mississippi-raised, 5.5-pound whole chickens for the same cost. Instead of each family receiving one turkey, each family will receive three whole chickens. Extra Table is feeding families in need and supporting local economies by ordering chickens from local farmers.

Extra Table is a local non-profit launched by well-known restaurateur, Robert St. John, who wanted to make a difference in the lives of Mississippians by fundraising in order to stock food pantries and soup kitchens across the state with wholesome nutritious food.
