Meet Kasey Pitts, Human Resources Recruiter

For over 16 years, Kasey Pitts has been a member of the Hattiesburg Clinic family. Beginning in May 2008 as a float receptionist, Pitts found her true calling in the human resources department, where she has flourished for the past 14 years as a dedicated recruiter. In this role, Pitts is responsible for hiring for all non-medical positions, excluding receptionists. Her career path has progressed from recruiter assistant to seasoned professional, adept at identifying the right talent to propel the clinic forward. Her commitment and enthusiasm for the role have not only made her an invaluable asset but also earned her an employee spotlight.

Born and raised in Yazoo City, Miss., Pitts made the leap to Hattiesburg to pursue her education at The University of Southern Mississippi. Little did she know that this move would not only shape her career but also lead to her husband, Dustin, whom she met at Hattiesburg Clinic.

When asked about her favorite aspect of her department, Pitts’s enthusiastic response is, “My coworkers! They are the best!” Her appreciation for her colleagues underscores her commitment to fostering a positive work environment where everyone feels valued and supported. However, it is in the act of offering someone a job that Pitts finds the most fulfillment. “It makes my day when someone is excited and happy to accept a job with Hattiesburg Clinic,” she said. This genuine joy in positively impacting the lives of others exemplifies Pitts’s integrity and dedication to supporting those around her.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Pitts prioritizes spending quality time with her family, especially her two nephews, who hold a special place in her heart. In a somewhat surprising revelation, Pitts shares that she tied the knot in Las Vegas, a decision she considers one of the best she has ever made. And when asked what three words most encapsulate her essence, she says “Organized. Genuine. Loyal.” As evidenced by her adventurous spirit, willingness to embrace life’s unexpected twists and turns, and her deeply rooted sense of dedication to family, these are, indeed, qualities that define her.

We are grateful for Kasey Pitts and the way she embodies the values of integrity and commitment that lie at the heart of Hattiesburg Clinic. Her dedication to her role, her support for her colleagues, and the way she genuinely cares for others make her a shining example of excellence in the workplace.

FUN FACTS:

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

KP: I love chicken wings and ranch – lots and lots of ranch.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

KP: Sing! I mean, I can sing but it’s not anything anyone wants to hear. I would LOVE to be able to hold a tune and belt it out, like Kelly Clarkson or Lady Gaga.
