Gentry selected as Hattiesburg Clinic’s Employee of the Quarter

ReAnne Gentry, an auditor with Chart Audit, has been selected as Hattiesburg Clinic’s Employee of the Fourth Quarter. She is being recognized for the expertise, courtesy and thoughtfulness that she presents daily.

Speaking on the dependability of Gentry’s professionalism, Tasha Porter, director of Health Information Management, said “Her job is not for the faint of heart.” As health care policies and procedures are subject to frequent change, one of Gentry’s primary duties is relaying updates and information to physicians and providers about evaluation and management codes. “She doesn’t always get to deliver the best news, and the information is not always well received. She handles every situation with such grace and professionalism,” Porter said.

Porter also expressed gratitude for the integrity that Gentry shows in her work, despite the fact that some of that work occurs behind the scenes. “She does an amazing job daily and it could be easily overlooked. We are thankful she is on our team.” Porter added.

While expressing appreciation for the team at Hattiesburg Clinic, Matthew D. McClain, MD, at Lincoln Road Family Medicine, highlighted Gentry’s ability to relay information about new processes and recent coding changes. “The coding changes have been a challenge,” McClain stated, “ReAnne has been extremely helpful with my questions.”

In recognition of Gentry’s respectful nature and thoughtful consideration, this Employee of the Quarter award acknowledges the work she does to help provide the best outcomes for our patients. Hattiesburg Clinic is grateful for that respect and integrity, which is so crucial to the clinic’s delivery of high-quality patient care in the communities we serve.

The Employee of the Quarter is selected from nominations by an employee’s peers, managers and patients and then is chosen by a committee of people from all clinic levels. As Employee of the Quarter, Gentry receives a $100 bonus, a reserved parking spot for one quarter, one vacation day and an invitation to the clinic’s Employee Awards Banquet this year.
