Laura J. Miller, MD, is a physician at Hattiesburg Clinic Prentiss Family Practice Clinic.
Miller received her medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, Miss. She completed an internship and residency in family medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss. She is a graduate of the Mississippi Rural Physicians Scholarship Program and a current preceptor. She also serves as preceptor of the UMMC School of Medicine Department of Family Medicine.
Miller is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. She is a member of the Mississippi Academy of Family Physicians, Mississippi State Medical Association, and the American Academy of Family Physicians. She has special practice interests in routine wellness, preventive care, women’s health, adolescent health, office procedures, and pediatric acute care.
Miller serves on the board for the Mississippi Physicians Care Network. In August 2021, she was elected and at-large member to the Mississippi State Medical Association Council on Budget and Finance; she was also elected a district six member of the Mississippi State Medical Association Council on Medical Education.
At Prentiss Family Practice Clinic, she provides comprehensive care to each member of the family. Her goal is to provide comprehensive and preventive care to the patients of Prentiss, Miss., and all surrounding areas.

Prentiss Family Practice Clinic provides comprehensive evaluation and care to meet the total health needs of each family member. These physicians offer prompt, complete assessment of the patient in their home communities and are able to obtain and coordinate consultation with other specialists when necessary.
