Mandy L. Gay, CCC-SLP, is a speech language pathologist with Hattiesburg Clinic Connections.
At Connections, Gay specializes in the comprehensive assessment and differential diagnosis of dyslexia and language-based learning disorders in children. Her clinical focus is identifying the nuanced interplay between phonological processing, oral language skills and literacy development to support early, accurate and individualized intervention planning.
Gay is board certified in speech-language pathology by the American Speech and Hearing Association. She received her Master of Science in speech-language pathology from The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Miss.
As a parent herself, Gay understands the confusion, concern and hope that so many families feel when faced with a language-based learning difference. She understands the importance of targeted, compassionate support and provides her patients and their families with the most appropriate, individualized care by combining clinical expertise with genuine empathy.
“I deeply value the role I play in educating and empowering families. Many parents feel overwhelmed when navigating a diagnosis, school supports or therapy process. I love helping them understand what is happening, their child’s needs and what resources are available. Guiding families toward the right tools and giving them a sense of direction is one of the most fulfilling parts of my work.” – Mandy L. Gay, CCC-SLP
