Gastroenterology – Hospital Care
Hattiesburg Clinic Gastroenterology’s Hospital Care Service provides evaluation and treatment for hospitalized patients with intestinal tract, liver and pancreas issues. Our GI hospitalists treat a range of issues, from gallstones to inflammatory bowel disease, as well as pancreatitis, hepatitis, cirrhosis, etc.
WHAT IS A GI HOSPITALIST?
A GI hospitalist is a gastroenterologist that primarily provides inpatient care. While our GI hospitalists are clinic providers, they only serve in the hospital setting. Our hospitalists work with hospital staff and consult with the patient’s primary care provider on behalf of the patient.
