Gastroenterology – Hospital Care
Hattiesburg Clinic Gastroenterology’s Hospital Care Service team provides evaluation and treatment for hospitalized patients with intestinal tract, liver and pancreatic care needs. Our GI hospitalists treat a range of needs, such as gallstones, inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatitis, hepatitis and cirrhosis.
WHAT IS A GI HOSPITALIST?
A GI hospitalist is a gastroenterologist that primarily provides inpatient care. While our GI hospitalists are clinic providers, they only see patients in the hospital setting. Our hospitalists work with hospital staff and consult with the managing medical team overseeing the patient’s care.
