What is a GI hospitalist?

A GI hospitalist is a gastroenterologist that primarily provides inpatient care. While our GI hospitalists are clinic providers, they only see patients in the hospital setting. Our hospitalists work with hospital staff and consult with the managing medical team overseeing the patient’s care.
