Hattiesburg Clinic Hosts Employee Appreciation Night at Hattiesburg Zoo

As a thank you to employees for all of their hard work, the physicians of Hattiesburg Clinic recently hosted an employee appreciation night at Hattiesburg Zoo.

Approximately 2,500 employees, physicians, providers, family and friends gathered on Saturday, June 10, for this after-hours event.

Guests enjoyed exclusive access to the zoo and all of its attractions, including the splash pad, electric train, Bug Hub playground and petting zoo. Dinner consisting of hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, sides and a dessert was also provided.

Hub City Sound Machine, a local Hattiesburg band, performed under the Africa pavilion, where attendees could sing and dance along while getting an up-close view of the giraffe enclosure.

Hattiesburg Clinic Chief Executive Officer Bryan N. Batson, MD, said the event was a way for employees to know that they are appreciated.

“Our staff works tirelessly to provide quality health care to the communities we serve,” Batson said.  “It is important for everyone to know that the work they do is meaningful and appreciated. This event was the perfect occasion to say thank you to each and every member of the Hattiesburg Clinic team and also to spend some quality time together outside of work.”

The event was also an opportunity for Hattiesburg Clinic employees to give back to the community. Custom t-shirts were sold prior to the event, and over 600 were sold. Proceeds from the shirt sale were donated to provide financial support for patients who receive care at Edwards Street Fellowship Health Clinic.
