Hospital Care Service Welcomes Jai Kumar, MD
Jai Kumar, MD, recently joined Hattiesburg Clinic Hospital Care Service, where he provides care for patients in the hospital.
Dr. Kumar received his medical degree from Dow University of Health Sciences in Karachi, Pakistan. Following medical school, he completed a one-year internship in Karachi and completed his internal medicine residency at Henry Ford Rochester Hospital in Rochester, Mich., and Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Mich. He is a member of the American College of Physicians.
At Hospital Care Service, Kumar provides care for patients in the hospital. He monitors their condition, orders and interprets diagnostic tests and adjusts treatment plans as needed. He also coordinates patients’ inpatient care with their primary care physician to ensure patients receive timely and effective care and have a smooth transition back to outpatient treatment.
“I value caring for patients during their hospital stay, guiding them through acute illnesses and providing clear, compassionate support to patients and their families,” Kumar said.
