Cassandra McCoy, CMA, Receives Cheers from Your Peers

The WOW! Committee recently congratulated Cassandra McCoy, a certified medical assistant with Hattiesburg Clinic Flowood Primary Care, for receiving Cheers from Your Peers. Ms. McCoy is being recognized for her compassion, initiative and commitment to patient-centered care.

In a recent WOW! nomination, O. Barrett Jones, MD, shared how Ms. McCoy organized a special outreach effort for several patients facing difficult life circumstances while managing ongoing health needs.

“Cassandra coordinated a program in which each patient received a personalized gift and a handwritten note of encouragement during a clinic visit,” Dr. Jones said. “This simple yet meaningful gesture had a profound impact. Patients were deeply moved by the kindness and thoughtfulness shown to them.”

By taking the time to recognize patients as individuals beyond their medical care, Ms. McCoy strengthened the connection between the clinic and those it serves. Her compassion and dedication reflect the highest standards of Hattiesburg Clinic and serve as an example of the difference a caring heart can make.

Thank you, Ms. McCoy, for going above and beyond for your coworkers, Hattiesburg Clinic and, most importantly, for our patients. We appreciate you!
