Harless Retires After 29 Years

Hattiesburg Clinic would like to offer gratitude and best wishes to Stephen L. Harless, MD, who has retired from Hattiesburg Clinic Family Clinic – Purvis after 29 years of service.

Harless joined Hattiesburg Clinic in 1997 with a strong desire to help people of all ages. Over the course of his career, Harless has enjoyed helping the patients in his community and watching young generations grow up, knowing he was a part of their lives.

Throughout his 42 years practicing medicine, Harless was motivated by his patients.

“The knowledge that my patients have been taken care of over the years is what motivated me,” Harless said. “Just one patient with a smile and a kind word can turn a tough day into one that I will always remember.”

Colleagues and staff at Family Clinic – Purvis describe Harless as a respected physician whose kindness, compassion and talent were evident in his relationships with both patients and colleagues.

When asked what he would miss most about working at Hattiesburg Clinic, Harless said, “Simple, my office staff.”
