Hattiesburg Clinic Supports Local Communities and Charities with 4th Consecutive Half Marathon Sponsorship

Hattiesburg Clinic proudly continued its title sponsorship of the Hattiesburg Half Marathon/10K/5K on Saturday, April 11, 2026. The 14th annual race brought 1,700 runners from across the Pine Belt and beyond to downtown Hattiesburg, uniting the community around health, fitness and local causes.

Proceeds from the 2026 race will benefit seven area nonprofits: The Arc Southeast MS, The Children’s Center for Communication and Development, The DuBard School for Language Disorders, Hattiesburg Alliance for Public Art, Kuntry Kidz, Pinebelt Blueways and Southern Pines Animal Shelter. Representatives from several beneficiary organizations were present throughout race weekend, offering encouragement along the course and helping create a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere for participants and spectators alike.

As title sponsor, Hattiesburg Clinic physicians and employees were actively involved throughout the event, participating as runners and volunteers while also supporting race operations behind the scenes. The sports medicine team from Hattiesburg Clinic Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine played a vital role in prioritizing runner safety. Physicians, athletic trainers, physical therapists and physical therapist assistants were stationed along the course, staffing medical support areas and assisting participants as needed to help ensure a safe experience from start to finish.

“Supporting this event reflects who we are and the role we believe health care should play in our community,” Bryan N. Batson, MD, Chief Executive Officer of Hattiesburg Clinic, said. “Physical activity is one of the most effective tools we have to improve physical and mental health, and this race gives people a visible, practical way to put that into action.”

Hattiesburg Clinic remains committed to advancing health and wellness in the communities it serves. Through continued sponsorship and on-site support, the clinic is proud to contribute to an event that highlights the power of partnership, philanthropy and community engagement.
