Meet Brittany Lee with Hattiesburg Clinic The Breast Center

Brittany Lee serves as both a mammography technologist and procedures technologist at Hattiesburg Clinic The Breast Center. Since joining the clinic in February 2020, she has played an important role in delivering comprehensive breast health services to women across the Pine Belt. The Breast Center provides mammograms, biopsies, ultrasounds, bone density scans and breast MRIs, while also emphasizing patient education, including the importance of self-breast exams and annual preventive mammograms.

Brittany begins each day by opening the Breast Center and ensuring mammography and biopsy units are fully operational. She performs screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast biopsies and needle localizations. In addition, she completes daily quality control testing, troubleshoots equipment issues and schedules routine maintenance.

Her role also extends beyond clinical duties. Brittany assists with clerical responsibilities, including scheduling imaging studies and procedures, obtaining outside imaging and reports, and supporting various operational needs. She manages and stocks supplies for mammography, breast ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy and bone density services at the 28th Place and Lake Serene locations.

Brittany values the team she works alongside each day. “I enjoy the wonderful group of ladies we have here at The Breast Center. They truly are a joy to be around every day. We are all more like family than coworkers,” Brittany said.

In her role, she takes pride in providing not only an essential medical service but also a positive experience for each patient. “I love to give my patients the time and space to speak or ask questions when they are nervous about their exam, while also offering them words of encouragement to ease their mind,” Brittany said. “I always hope they leave feeling even better than when they arrived.”

During her time at Hattiesburg Clinic, Brittany has gained a strong appreciation for time management and structure in her workday, allowing her to stay organized and productive.

Outside of work, Brittany enjoys spending time at home with her husband, Addison, and their dog, Moose. Although she is social and involved both at work and in the community, she considers herself an introvert at heart and values quiet time at home. She also enjoys camping trips with her husband, hiking, playing disc golf and exploring new places together.

Brittany was born in Hattiesburg and raised in Richton, Miss. She graduated from Greene County High School and earned her associate degree through the radiology program at Jones College. She later obtained her mammography credentials through cross-training at The Breast Center, where she continues to serve patients with skill and dedication.
