Hospital Care Service Welcomes Chieh Yang, MD
Chieh Yang, MD, recently joined Hattiesburg Clinic Hospital Care Service, where she provides care for patients exclusively while they are in the hospital.
Dr. Yang received her medical degree from Taipei Medical Universityin Taipei, Taiwan. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of California, Riverside in Riverside, Ca., and fellowship in hospice and palliative care at State University of New York at Buffalo in Buffalo, N.Y.
At Hospital Care Service, Yang monitors patients’ conditions, orders and interprets diagnostic tests and adjusts treatment plans as needed. She also coordinates a patient’s hospital care with his or her primary care physician to ensure the patient receives timely and effective care and has a smooth transition back to outpatient treatment.
“Hospital medicine allows me to bring clarity and stability to patients during periods of uncertainty. I strive to combine clinical precision with clear communication to guide each patient toward recovery with confidence,” Yang said.
