Curbside COVID Transitions to Limited Hours as Hattiesburg Clinic Primary Care and Immediate Care Locations Offer COVID-19 Testing

Effective Dec. 30, 2021, Curbside COVID Testing, a service of Cough & Fever Clinic, will no longer offer testing services Monday through Friday. However, as Hattiesburg Clinic monitors the recent increase in COVID and to ensure patients have access to testing, Curbside COVID Testing may be able to operate during limited hours on the weekends when staffing can be secured.  Patients can view available hours and schedule appointments at www.curbsidecovid.com.

Hattiesburg Clinic continues to offer numerous options for COVID testing. Testing services are now available at over 30 Hattiesburg Clinic primary care offices and immediate care locations throughout South Mississippi. Patients who need to be tested for COVID-19 may contact their primary care physician or visit one of Hattiesburg Clinic’s immediate care sites. “Access to testing and treatment is obviously a high priority for our community,” said Hattiesburg Clinic Chief Executive Officer, Bryan N. Batson, MD. “We are currently able to offer a wide variety of options through the clinic’s primary care and immediate care locations as well as other community health care options. We are grateful that we have a large team of dedicated health care professionals who are committed to the well-being of our community.”

“We opened Cough & Fever Clinic in March of 2020 when COVID testing resources were scarce,” Batson added. “Today, 21 months later since the pandemic’s inception, we have expanded access to testing services, which are now being offered at Hattiesburg Clinic satellite locations in addition to county health departments throughout the state.”

Patients can schedule an appointment for COVID-19 testing through the Forrest County Health Department, Monday through Saturday. To schedule an appointment at the Forrest County Health Department or any other county health department in the state, visit https://covidschedule.umc.edu/SelectLocation.
