Purvis Physical Therapy Celebrates 15th Anniversary!

Purvis Physical Therapy Celebrates 15 Years of Business

Hattiesburg Clinic Purvis Physical Therapy is celebrating 15 years of business.

Opening its doors in 2005, it was the first satellite physical therapy clinic offered by Hattiesburg Clinic outside of its main location. The department staff consists of Jason Helton, PT, DPT, who serves as the physical therapist and manager; Lacey Carter, PTA, who serves as the physical therapist assistant; and Leah Lee who serves as the receptionist and patient account representative.

With Helton’s nineteen years of service with Hattiesburg Clinic, Carter’s five years of service, and Lee’s eighteen years of service, the staff strives to offer unique perks to their patients and community.

“We start seeing patients at 6 a.m. before work hours,” Helton said. “People come from all over because they can receive care before they head to work or school.”

Along with special business hours, the department provides care for sports medicine and orthopaedic injury recovery.

“We treat athletes from Purvis, Lamar Christian, Lumberton and Forrest County Agriculture High School,” Helton said. “Our rehabilitation is an exercise-based approach that also incorporates electrical stimulation and ultrasound as needed.”

Helping local athletes isn’t the only service this clinic offers. Purvis Physical Therapy also offers other services such as: therapeutic exercises, joint mobilization, gait training, training in activities of daily living, training of prosthesis or assistive devices, and a range of motion exercises.

“I am so thankful and blessed for this clinic,” Helton said. “We help a lot of people from all over the southern Mississippi region, and I’m very proud of the work we do here.”

Purvis Physical Therapy is located at 98 Shelby Speights Drive in Purvis. To schedule an appointment, call (601) 794-2402 or visit www.hattiesburgclinic.com for more information.
