Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Represents Clinic at Annual Worker’s Compensation Event
Staff members who attended the event included Mike Williamson, administrative director of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation; Ann Trigg, administrative director of Orthopaedics/Sports Medicine and Pain Management Health Center; John Porter, occupational therapist; and Melissa Davis, manager of Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. The department has been attending the event for nearly two decades.
The conference is hosted by the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Educational Association (MWCEA) and the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Board. The event allows vendors and businesses that provide services to the worker’s compensation program to further enhance their knowledge of managing the worker’s compensation patient population, said Ann Trigg. This includes insurance carriers, adjustors, lawyers, billing coordinators, case managers and vocational rehabilitation providers.
Trigg said this event serves as a great opportunity to showcase what the clinic has to offer.
“This event allows the Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy departments to promote the providers and services we offer, as well as the services that Hattiesburg Clinic has to offer,” said Trigg.
The Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Educational Association (MWCEA) is an organization whose stated purpose is to promote, encourage and foster the advancement of education in the field of Mississippi workers’ compensation law and benefits, along with the rules and regulations, etc., through the dissemination of knowledge by publications, seminars, lectures and other means.
