Neurologist Shows ‘Kindness in Action’ with Non-profit for Alzheimer’s patients, caregivers
Ronald Schwartz, MD, CPI, director of Hattiesburg Clinic Memory Center, was recently featured in Fox 23’s “Kindness in Action” series for his non-profit, disentangleAD, which provides financial assistance to Alzheimer’s patients and their caregivers.
Schwartz said the idea for the organization came after getting to know many caregivers throughout the years who struggle with caring for the patient while taking care of themselves.
“This money helps alleviate that stress for the caregiver. Because if they break down, it is not good for anybody,” he said.
