As a primary care provider, Bynum offers comprehensive evaluation and treatment to support the overall health and well-being of her patients. She has special interests in acute and chronic illnesses, such as diabetes and hypertension; routine health maintenance; sports and school physicals; and general wellness.
Bynum received her medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, Miss. She completed an internship and residency in family medicine at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Ala.
Bynum is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. She has professional affiliations with the American Academy of Family Practice, the Mississippi Academy of Family Practice and the American Medical Association.
Bynum said she practices on the belief that continuity of care is vital to a person’s health and strives to build trust and understanding with her patients to help them achieve a better quality of life.
“I became interested in medicine at a young age because I have a sister with special needs,” she said. “I enjoy the opportunity to witness transformations in patients’ lives as health needs and goals are met, and to be a part of that is humbling and inspiring.”
Bynum joins Matthew D. McClain, MD, in practice at Lincoln Road Family Medicine.
