4th Law Enforcement Appreciation Dinner is ‘Best One So Far’

Hattiesburg Clinic Heart & Vascular hosted its 4th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Dinner Oct. 18 at the Forrest County Multi-Purpose Center, with its highest attendance so far.

Officers from various law enforcement agencies across Forrest and Lamar Counties, as well as the Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop J division, were in attendance. Mack’s on the River treated guests to a catered catfish meal. Each officer in attendance received a special gift and many won door prizes.

Frances Findley, event organizer, said this year’s turnout was “the best yet.”

“This year’s event was the best one so far. We had an increase in attendance and an increase in door prizes. Everyone seemed to have a great time,” she said. “It was great to see so many different agencies come together in a relaxed environment and just enjoy a good meal with friends old and new.”

The dinner is held each October as a way to recognize and honor local law enforcement.
