Johnson Named Hattiesburg Clinic’s Employee of the Quarter
Hattiesburg Clinic has chosen its Employee of the Third Quarter.
The honor was awarded to Renea Johnson, a Chronic Care Management nurse with the clinic’s Quality Management department. Johnson has been with the clinic less than a year, however, she has already made an impact with patients.
As a CCM nurse, she is responsible for calling patients who have chronic medical conditions each month to check in with them. She helps them manage their chronic diagnosis and provides education on medications and the disease process. Additionally, Johnson serves as a contact for those patients when they need assistance with appointments, abnormal symptoms or questions.
Her supervisor, Lanna Wakeland, said in her short time with the clinic Johnson has proven her commitment to her patients. She said she takes time with them to hear out their needs and concerns and provide solutions that benefit their health.
“Renea embodies the spirit and mission of Hattiesburg Clinic. She provides efficient care with an emphasis on service and excellence to her patients,” said Wakeland.
According to Wakeland, Johnson is an excellent representative for the clinic because of her professionalism, dependability and kindness.
“She cares about others and strives to do her very best for her patients and the clinic. She is genuine.”
A committee of people from all levels of the clinic selects the Employee of the Quarter. Selections are based on nominations by the employee’s peers, managers and patients.
