Hattiesburg Clinic Opens Podiatry Clinic in Picayune with New Physician

Hattiesburg Clinic is pleased to announce the opening of its new podiatry clinic, Podiatry – Picayune, under the direction of Aaron M. Israel, DPM.

The new specialty clinic is located at 146 Highland Parkway, Ste. B, in Picayune, Miss. At Podiatry – Picayune, Israel provides medical and surgical treatment for conditions and diseases affecting the foot and ankle. These include ingrown toenail removal, heel pain treatments, diabetic foot care and other relevant issues.

Israel received his medical degree from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence, Ohio. He completed a residency in podiatric medicine and surgery at United Health Services Hospital in Johnson City, N.Y., with an added credential in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery.

Israel also has special training in pediatric orthopaedics from Sinai Hospital: Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics in Baltimore, Md. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and has special interests in diabetic foot care, biomechanics, and nail and skin care.

While he is surgically trained, Israel said he finds that his patients’ issues can oftentimes be treated in-office, without surgery.

“My focus is to help my patients walk pain-free,” said Israel. “I believe most foot pathologies can be treated conservatively without surgery. I enjoy seeing my patients walk out of my office no longer in pain.”
