Child & Adolescent Counselor

Ms. Simmons joined the Connections group in 2010. She received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in community health education from The University of Southern Mississippi. She then received a master’s degree in counseling psychology from William Carey University. Ms. Simmons did her internship at Pine Grove Behavioral Health and then worked there for several years before joining the staff at Connections. Ms. Simmons is a licensed professional counselor specializing in behavioral and mood disorders in children. She also works with parents helping them discover interventions that can be used to improve family unity. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, the Mississippi Counseling Association and is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors.
