Thomas G. Puckett, MD
Thomas G. Puckett, MD, is a pathologist with Hattiesburg Clinic Pathology.
Puckett received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, Miss. He completed an internal medicine internship from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla. Additionally, he completed his anatomic pathology residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He also completed an anatomic and clinical pathology residency at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo., where he served as chief resident.
Puckett is board certified in by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and the American Board of Medical Management. He is a fellow of the College of American Pathologists and the American College of Physician Executives. Furthermore, he holds memberships with the American Medical Association, Mississippi Association of Pathologists and the South Mississippi Medical Association.
Dr. Puckett evaluates tissue biopsies, specimens and lab data for potential abnormalities. As a result, he is able to identify diseases and disorders so that health care providers may determine the best course of treatment for the patient.
