Erika Newsome, PMHNP
Erika Newsome, PMHNP, is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Hattiesburg Clinic Psychiatry – Lincoln Center.
Newsome received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, Miss., and her Master of Science in nursing from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Miss. She received her post-master’s certification in psychiatric mental health from Regis College in Weston, Mass.
Newsome is board certified as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and she is a member of the Mississippi Nurses Association and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
At Psychiatry – Lincoln Center, she provides medication management across the patient’s life span. Newsome works with patients and their families to help develop an individualized treatment plan for a variety of psychiatric illnesses. She also enjoys working with children who have diagnoses of Autism and ADHD.
