Contour TRL Overview

Hattiesburg Clinic offers the Contour TRL (Tunable Resurfacing Laser) treatment as a cosmetic service to improve the appearance of skin on a variety of levels. The Contour TRL uses an erbium laser with customizable settings to ensure a precise and tailored treatment for each patient.

Contour TRL resurfacing is especially beneficial for:

Mild-to-deep wrinkles
Acne scars, post-traumatic or surgical scars
Pigmented lesions
Lax skin in all areas (including upper and lower eyelids)
Poor skin tone/texture

With this type of resurfacing method, we are able to treat a variety of skin types on the face and body. Treatments can be tailored to each patient’s desired outcome and tolerance for downtime.

What can I expect with Contour TRL skin resurfacing?

Immediately prior to the procedure, your skin will be cleaned at the treatment site and your eyes will be protected with safety shields. The provider will hold the laser above the skin while the computer-guided scanner moves the laser beam around the treatment area. The procedure typically lasts 15 to 30 minutes for lighter treatments and 30 to 60 minutes for deeper treatments, depending on the size of the treatment area.

Every patient’s comfort level varies. Your provider may offer a topical anesthetic for shallow treatments or a subdermal local anesthetic for deeper treatments.
