Connections offers a variety of child services to meet the unique needs of each patient.
Evaluations are completed by clinical psychologists to determine psychological needs, including ADHD, anxiety, depression and child behavior disorders. Evaluations by ASHA-certified speech language pathologists are also available to determine the presence of speech, language and learning disorders, such as dyslexia.* Kindergarten readiness evaluations are available for preschool students.
Medical management begins with a physical/consultation and includes follow-up visits with patients through college. This is provided for ADHD and other related problems by our team of medical doctors, nurse practitioners and physician’s assistants.
Counseling and behavior therapy is made available on site by the Hattiesburg Clinic Psychology & Counseling department for behavioral and emotional needs.
Speech/language therapy services are provided on a limited basis.
Parent consultations are included in our evaluation procedures to ensure understanding of the patient’s needs. Recommendations are made for a plan of care for home and school.
