She aims to use an individualized approach through nutritional counseling, advanced lab testing and a personalized supplementation program, as needed, to help her patients achieve optimal health.
Before moving to Hattiesburg, where she now lives with her husband and son, Karam, 38, lived and worked in New York City, where she treated patients using a similar approach.
Karam received her medical degree from the American University of Beirut in Beirut, Lebanon. She completed an internship in internal medicine at Emory University in Atlanta and her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, where she served as chief resident.
She is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is certified in anti-aging medicine by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.
She also works with patients who have chronic medical issues and seeks to reverse or greatly improve those conditions. Ultimately, she hopes the department will serve as a step in building a network of health-conscious individuals to provide ongoing support to the community.
