AN UPDATE FROM HATTIESBURG CLINIC EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, TOMMY THORNTON, FACMPE
As we continue into this unconventional time, Hattiesburg Clinic wants to ensure you are receiving updated information regarding important health care services available during this time.
In order to ensure you, our patients, that Hattiesburg Clinic is maintaining a safe and healthy environment, we have continued to implement several precautionary measures. First, at each of our locations, everyone who enters the clinic will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms and risk factors, and all persons must wear a mask upon entering the building. Additionally, at this time, we are not allowing visitors unless you are accompanying a minor or are an essential caregiver. Last, but equally important, we frequently clean and disinfect all surfaces to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and uphold all other safety precautions recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH).
In accordance with updated national, state and local guidance, Hattiesburg Clinic will cautiously resume certain elective surgery procedures. We encourage patients to communicate with their health care team, so they understand the extra measures we are taking in the best interest of their safety and the well-being of our physicians, advanced practice providers, and staff during this unprecedented time. Telehealth visits will be the priority for routine follow-up with patients.
Hattiesburg Clinic’s telehealth services are available for you to receive care while staying in the comfort of your home. All you need is an active Iris account and a smartphone, tablet, or computer. If you don’t have an Iris account or have questions, visit us at www.hattiesburgclinic.com/iris or call your provider’s office. They will help get you set up. We have also provided a step-by-step guide on our website. You can download the Iris app, “My Chart,” available on the App Store and Google Play.
