Two types of injectable fillers are available to help restore facial contours or reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles:

What is JUVÉDERM?

If you would like to restore facial contours or reduce the appearance of fine lines and creases, JUVÉDERM may be right for you. A hyaluronic acid-based injectable filler, JUVÉDERM plumps the lips, enhances shallow contours, softens facial creases and wrinkles and improves recessed scars. It also bolsters skin elasticity, giving your skin a more youthful, supple appearance.

How is JUVÉDERM administered?

JUVÉDERM injections are administered by physician in our Hattiesburg office. A local anesthetic will be applied to the treatment area to minimize pain. The gel is then injected under the skin to increase the area’s volume. Because it is biocompatible, the body will typically absorb JUVÉDERM within six to nine months.

Am I a good candidate for JUVÉDERM?

The best candidates for our JUVÉDERM treatments are men and women looking to have fuller lips or reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Most of our patients target the following treatment areas:

  • Deep nasogenian grooves (the folds between your nose and cheeks)
  • Nasolabial folds between the nose and the outer corners of the mouth
  • Lines between the eyebrows or above the brow line
  • Lines around the outer eye (crow’s feet)
  • Smile lines

If you are pregnant or nursing, you should not undergo JUVÉDERM treatments.

What can I expect after JUVÉDERM injections?

The JUVÉDERM procedure is a simple, non-surgical treatment, so patients at our facility are able to resume normal activity immediately. Although there is minimal downtime, you may experience slight swelling and bruising. Any discoloration or redness can be covered with makeup.

What are the typical results after JUVÉDERM injections?

After receiving your JUVÉDERM injections, your results will be visible immediately, and they will continue to improve over the next several weeks. Fine lines and wrinkles will disappear, making way for smoother, supple skin. Whether you’re interested in JUVÉDERM to smooth out fine lines, increase lip volume or reduce scarring, our trained staff can help you decide if JUVÉDERM is right for you.

What is Restylane?

Restylane injectable, hyaluronic acid fillers are used to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. This filler may also be used for lip enhancements.

There are several types*:

  • Restylane and Restylane-L® are for mid-to-deep injection into the facial tissue for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds. Restylane and Restylane-L are also indicated for injection into the lips.
  • Restylane Lyft with Lidocaine is for deep implantation into the facial tissue for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds and for cheek augmentation and for the correction of age-related midface contour deficiencies. Restylane Lyft with Lidocaine is also indicated for injection into the dorsal hand to correct volume loss.
  • Restylane Silk is for lip augmentation and for correction of perioral wrinkles.
  • Restylane Kysse is for lip augmentation and for correction of upper perioral wrinkles.
  • Restylane Refyne is for mid-to-deep injection into the facial tissue for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds.
  • Restylane Defyne is for mid-to-deep injection into the facial tissue for the correction of moderate to severe deep facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds. It is also indicated for injection into the mid-to-deep dermis (subcutaneous and/or supraperiosteal) for augmentation of the chin region to improve the chin profile in patients with mild to moderate chin retrusion.
  • Restylane Contour is for cheek augmentation and for the correction of midface contour deficiencies.
