What to Expect from the ADHD Evaluation Process
A typical ADHD evaluation for young patients begins with a physical by Dr. Kent. This physical is conducted to rule out any possibility of medical or physical problems contributing to the child’s illness. Once the physical has been completed, Dr. Kent arranges evaluations with other team members for treatment appropriate to the child’s condition. These evaluations include:
- Educational Conferences
- Psychological Evaluations
A final conference is then held with Dr. Kent and all participating team members to develop a multi-modal treatment plan.
The plan may include:
- Counseling
- Psychological, Emotional and Social Development
- Educational Interventions
- Medical Management
- Parent Education
