The Epilepsy Center of South Mississippi provides comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for patients with intractable epilepsy — those whose seizures have not been brought under acceptable control with available resources.

Neurological evaluations are performed at Hattiesburg Clinic in the Neurology Department by Wendell R. Helveston, M.D. and Jose P. Fernandez, M.D., Medical Co-Directors of the Epilepsy Center of South Mississippi. Seizure monitoring is also available if deemed necessary.
